Real Chickens Don't Eat Melons
And they don't live in some pre-fabricated Little Tikes dwelling. (See Kris' blog) Here is an example of a chicken coop that keeps the chickens from gittin' uppity. If you want a chicken dinner, it's not too hard to convince one of them to commit suicide.

Nice...way to promote animal rights violations, Dad! I would want my chickens to be happy, OK?!?!

I don't know about the animal rights violations, the yard may be full of junk, but it looks like there's more room for the chickens to roam in this picture than in the Eglu picture.
