Sue's Birthday

We played 18 holes of mini golf at Golf Safari this afternoon, then had an early dinner at Iguana Mia. Sue got her meal for free plus a fried ice cream dessert.

For Howard

I posted this picture of Dave and the grandkids for Howard because he wasn't seeing it on Facebook.

Dorm Pictures-mid-60's

My college room-mate, Jim Mitsuyasu, recently retired from his job in California. We have kept in touch over the years (and also with our other roomie, Steve Endrizzi, who lives in Minnesota). I lived in the same dorm room (325) in Johnson Hall for four years. How boring is that?

Since Jim has free time now, he has been cleaning ou
t his garage. Among the items that he discovered were these two pictures, both taken in room 325.

Here are Sue and I, dressed up for somethin
g. Since we had to dress for Sunday dinner and for football games, this may have been one of those occasions. I'm guessing that this picture was taken no more than a year after we met in 1966.

This shows me hard at work ironing shirts. The combination of neatly pressed shirts and that flat-top haircut made me irresistible to the ladies.

Johnson Hall and the adjacent Stopher Hall were demolished a few years ago. They built two brand new dorms and called them Johnson and Stopher. Tradition!!

Betty Hutton

I wasn't born yet when Betty had a giant hit with this song. I'm just a sucker for this brand of entertainment.

If you have about 10 minutes to spare, here are some clips from the 1942 movie, "The Fleets In"

Friendship In Erie

Here is a really cute story about two "buddies" at the Erie Zoo. Just click on the "Erie" link in the Hot Links list at the upper right of this blog page.

More Crafts Made By Sue

Here are the latest additions to Sue's 2012 craft collection. She just finished the flower pot frogs today. The small basket was done earlier. That basket is designed to hold salt and pepper shakers and was more difficult to make than the larger ones. The bending and weaving is a lot tighter.
