Day Three-Almost There

Monday was another great day of traveling. It was warm and sunny. The weather reports tell us that those of you up north are having some nice weather too. You've got to love those short term effects of global warming. It's 77 degrees here in Tampa right now. For our last leg of the trip tomorrow, I'm thinking shorts and a tee shirt. I'm not rubbing it in, really I'm not.

We started on I-95, this morning, then took I-10 over to 301 S. 301 was a good road and it gave us a chance to see some of the sights that you miss on the interstate. Lots of little speed trap towns to watch out for too. One of those towns was Waldo, so if anyone asks you, "Where's Waldo?", tell them it's on 301 S between Starke and Gainesville. Somebody with some money to spend must have gotten a speeding ticket in Waldo because we past a full-sized, black and white billboard that said, Waldo Speed Trap-2 miles. Anyway, we didn't get any tickets and reached I-75 , rolled south to Tampa, and then a slight eastern jog on route 4 to get to our park, Tampa East RV Resort, in Dover.

We have to thank Kris for the music CDs that she made for us three years ago. We used the "Good Music", volumes 1 through 6, to help the miles fly by during the last two days. We have about two hours of driving to reach Upriver RV Resort, our home for the winter. It will be good to actually be able put out the slides, lower the awning and all the other things that will make it seem more like "home".

Sue is making dinner now and Wickett is taking a nap (surprise, surprise). All of us will be glad to put down some roots tomorrow so we can stop being gypsies and start being snow-birds. Bye for now.

77 degrees...not too bad. It's supposed to hit 65 here today, but cool down into the 40's tomorrow.
