Go Flashes

The Kent State University men's basketball team travels to Chapel Hill, NC to take on the #1 ranked Tarheels at 8:00 tonight. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN. KSU is 10-2 and North Carolina is 13-0. The Golden Flashes are certainly an major underdog in this game, but you have to admire the fact that they put this game on their non-conference schedule. They could have loaded up with patsies (like OSU FB with Akron, Kent and Youngstown State, sorry Buckeye fans), but they chose the tougher road. Win or lose, they will be a better team when the MAC season starts. Fight On For KSU!!

How did they do? I was expecting an update posting...

I'm guessing that there hasn't been an update posting because the final score of the game was so hideous. The Flashes lost 90-61.

Kent just had no one to match their inside guys and then had a really bad night shooting 3's. That's a nasty combination against any team, let alone North Carolina. But if you watched the whole game, Kent played hard until the buzzer and there were some pretty good back-door cut baskets and one great ally-oop dunk. I'm still proud to be a Flash.
